The PEAQ 24 Hour 3x3 Basketball & Cold Plunge Challenge is Here!

The inaugural PEAQ 24 hour 3v3 Basketball Game and Cold Plunge Challenge is here! Proudly supported by Modbury Vet Clinic, we will be raising money for Breakthrough Mental Health Research Foundation, in the biggest and longest PEAQ basketball game to date!

We know that the last two years have been challenging for everyone. Isolation and the cancellation of many team sports and events have left people with an increased sense of loneliness. So, we thought it was time to bring people back together and have some fun, while raising money for an important cause!

Teams of 3 will play continuous basketball for one hour and then rotate each hour for 24 hours, straight! One a team has completed their basketball game they will also have to commit to 10 minutes in our infamous ice baths (cold contrast therapy tubs) for a boost of recovery and get the opportunity to learn a little about their mental resilience after their rotation. So, you know what that means? 24 hours of basketball and 24 hours of ice baths too!

How to get involved

Registration is now open for teams wanting to play basketball and take an ice bath. The registration fee is $30 for 1 hour with 100% of the profits going direct to Breakthrough Mental Health!

Don’t let your perceived skill level hold you back either. We welcome teams and players of all ages, backgrounds and experience. It is about having fun and giving it a go, and raising much needed funds for an important cause.

DONATE

Don’t want to play, but still want to get involved? You can donate directly to the fundraiser and help us bring much needed funds and awareness to this important cause.

NOMINATE A MATE

We will also be giving you the opportunity to nominate a mate, your mum, maybe your boss to take a cold plunge across the 24 hours as well. Registrations for this will open shortly and 100% of funds raised will also go towards Breakthrough Mental Health.

So don’t wait, these spots will be sure to fill up fast! Make sure you get involved, be part of the fun and help raise money and awareness for mental health research in Australia.
